The corridors and reception carry an uninviting smell of smoke, which might be a turn-off, especially during busy check-ins. Breakfast choices feel outdated with no vegan options, and the presentation leaves much to be desired, like crumbs instead of actual focaccia. That TV in the room? Swinging precariously like it's in a cheap cantina, fighting gravity. The restaurant pricing can feel out of whack, with a lack of transparency, leaving you pondering the true value of your meal long after departure.

Booked a room with a bath. Location: the hotel was close enough to the beer garden, a pub, and Library. The staff was welcoming and courteous, we got their full attention.
The staff - some of them were quite busy.

I appreciated the great location in the lovely outdoor area. Moreover, it was so close to the Brass Monkey restaurant, the Library and the beer garden.

Cosy atmosphere with amazing food
My room was good and the staff went out of their way to ensure my experience was nice. The highlight had to be the dinner. The roast dinner was really good and satisfying! If I had to point out an area for improvement, it would be the dinner menu could include more variety.

The room was lovely, especially cottage 3. The staff at the wedding were briliant, especially erik were pretty good. Breakfast was delicious, i'd return just for the scrambled eggs. The waitress in the morning was really polite and helpful. We had an all round lovely stay.
the dinner menu was a bit limited and lacked variety, and some dishes were overcooked.

Charming place with great food!
We had a cozy night in a lovely double room. The old-school vibe added charm, the view over the church was nice, and the roll-top bath was a treat. Dinner in the bar area was a highlight-great quality, though the fried pineapple was too small. Service was super friendly.

The white hart had a beautiful room with a comfy bed for a wonderful night's sleep. The brasserie food was excellent, and the chef deserves a michelin star! A shoutout to liam, who was particularly pleasant and knowledgeable. It reminded me of a hidden gem with really good quality.

I had a lovely time enjoying breakfast, which had something for everyone, and the cozy garden area was perfect for a drink outside. The family room was spacious with a nice setup, and it was great to unwind in the leisure room. Just a heads up, it got a bit noisy some nights, but overall, I would definitely recommend it for a nice stay! 😊

pleasant room , but check-in was chaotic
The room was lovely , well-appointed with plenty of space. The bathroom had modern fixtures and was very clean.
Check-in was delayed due to the locked reception and trouble finding keys.
